Waiting on Wednesday: The Immortal Heights by Sherry Thomas

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Sherry Thomas's Elemental Trilogy has been a highlight of 2015 for me personally, so I'm especially excited to read The Immortal Heights!

From Goodreads: In a pursuit that has spanned continents, Iolanthe, Titus, and their friends have always managed to remain one step ahead of the forces of Atlantis. But now the Bane, the monstrous tyrant who bestrides the entire mage world, has issued his ultimatum: Titus must hand over Iolanthe, or watch as his entire realm is destroyed in a deadly rampage. Running out of time and options, Iolanthe and Titus must act decisively to deliver a final blow to the Bane, ending his reign of terror for good.

However, getting to the Bane means accomplishing the impossible—finding a way to infiltrate his crypt in the deepest recesses of the most ferociously guarded fortress in Atlantis. And everything is only made more difficult when new prophecies come to light, foretelling a doomed effort....

Iolanthe and Titus will put their love and their lives on the line. But will it be enough?

With The Immortal Heights, Sherry Thomas brings the acclaimed Elemental Trilogy to its breathtaking conclusion.

The Immortal Heights is due out on October 13, 2015.

  1. I haven't read Sherry Thomas's books but I do plan to at some point- most probably when this one is out already! I can't resist a good fantasy series and I enjoy marathoning them. :D

    1. Oh, they are so so good! I kept seeing them pop up on my Scribd page, and really only started them because I was mid-book hangover and wanted to read something completely random. BEST random book decision I've made since Throne of Glass.

    1. Good luck to you whenever you do get back to it! I will confess to having put the second book down for a couple of weeks before getting back into it, but I definitely don't regret picking it up again!

  4. Okay, so I haven't read this series, but I did see an ARC of this at ALA and was so tempted to ask about it based on the cover alone. It's GORGEOUS. I was totally willing to read the series from start to finish just because the cover is so, so beautiful. I hope you enjoy this one! :D (Even though you have to wait for it...)

    1. The books are so gorgeous, and I'm sad I only have them on my Kindle. Perhaps I will ask for the hardcovers (of the first two, at least) for my birthday next month!

    1. Well I highly recommend them! And it's probably a good idea to wait until this one is out, since you won't have to wait months and months like I do to finish the series!
